San Rafael River Adventure

Travel Date: November 2016

Looking for something unconventional? This is the place to be.

Three words, Peace of Mind. This was the first thing I felt upon entering the gates of San Rafael River Adventure. The ambiance was so peaceful it will sweep you off your itchy feet. The cool breeze of air compliments the magnificent scenery of the River and the resort. You can enjoy the awesome view from sunrise to sundown, plus a lot of activities to maximize the experience. So if you are aiming for a meaningful getaway with your family, friends or even with your special someone without compromising your wallet, this is the place to be!

Bring me there!

-From Manila, ride Baliwag bus from cubao terminal going to Baliuag bayan. (P75.00 each)
-From town proper of Baliuag, ride tricycle going to San Rafael River Adventure located in Brgy Talacsan. (P150.00 per tricycle for an hour ride)

Note: If you are commuting, you have to be there before sunset. It’s a little creepy when it gets dark.

This resort is by reservation only and require 50% downpayment upon booking.

This is what will welcome you when you visit San Rafael River Adventure. A very cozy, unconventional concept for a Reception area. There you will meet all the staff who will assist you during your stay in SRRA.
The three little monks says “welcome our guests!”
Yey! Of course, welcome drinks for us!  Oh yeah I love Iced tea!

Just an hour and half away from Manila, you get to escape from the hustle and bustle of Manila and just experience the magic of this place has to offer. There’s no need to spend too much, they offer difference types of accommodation that is tailor fit in your budget.

Consider it OA (Yes, I am really OA!) but this resort is different. From it’s unconventional interior concept to amazing view of the river and its crazy activities who wouldn’t want to try it? Glamping on top of the bamboo raft in the river? A 24-hour infinity pool with serene view of Angat river? Bonfire and smores? Its warm and welcoming vibe  of forest themed resort? It’s just amazing! A perfect place to have the time you need with your special someone, friends or families! This place will not fail you, believe me! They have what you are looking for.  A sanctuary for relaxation and communing with nature. Perfect spot for your next catch up sesh!

– A 24-hour infinity pool –

They have Jacuzzi right at the center of the infinity pool!
The kids can safely play because the pool has a shallow part. It gets deep up to 6 ft upon walking on the other side.

Something that you really need to try when you decided to visit the place “Glamping with a twist”. For weekends, this costs P2250 for two from 7am-6am/7pm-6am. For weekdays, it’s P2000. All access to the resort’s amenities with free Kayak and Paddleboard.

Your way going to the Glamping area in the river called “Glamping with a twist”. Weird? No. This is Madness! They are the only resort (so far) who offers this kind of glamping. Everything is provided. They have towels, beddings, toothbrush, etc.

This is good for two but the tent can accommodate up to 4 pax just coordinate it with the receptionist (additional payment). Bonfire can be prepared upon request. Nothing to worry, there are no mosquitoes and the place is really quiet.

This is another type of glamping they have. It is located in their camping site near the Glass Villa house.
This is where you can find their water activities gears and it is done at the 30ft deep waters of Angat River.

– Banana Boat
– ATV (P800/hour)
– Horse back riding

– lunch on River cruise (2 hours 11am-1pm)

– many more!

Good to Know: When they bought this place and started developing it as a resort, all the trees were spared from being uprooted and were used as accents instead.

-You can already order your food in advance so when you get there its ready 😛
-I prefer night and weekday tour, you get to own the resort for a night! You can really feel the coziness of the place because no one is around. It will let you feel the privacy vibe!
